People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don’t even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child-our own two eyes. All is a miracle.

-Thich Nhat Hanh

One of my favorite sentiments. This message speaks to the importance of being grounded as well as being open to the magic of life. “Miracles” that strike people as awe inspiring are events designed to get your attention and open your awareness to what’s possible. When you already walk through life connected to spirit as well as grounded to your humanness, then all is amazing and yet normal at the same time. It sounds paradoxical, but being solidly grounded allows the greatest spiritual openness. So appreciate all the little everyday things, all day, every day and look out for the awesome everywhere…
